Oh no, not again!

The seismic effects of last season’s soccer catastrophe are still being felt and the dust has hardly settled. Actually the wounds are still fresh, despite a new BTC Premiership season kicking off last weekend.

The local soccer fraternity has hardly had time to recuperate from the damaging effects of the last season. That season has to go on record as the most petrifying in the history of Botswana football. Only a seamless, exciting campaign will wipe away the bitter taste left in the mouth of the supporters of the country’s number one sport.

But as hopes were rising, a shattering blow was delivered. A new campaign got underway on Friday night, but immediately shoved fans into a sense of déjà vu, just as hopes were rising.
