Mystar Winners Deserve Protection

On Friday curtains fell on the seven season of the popular Mystar music show competition, with Tebogo crowned the winner and pocketing P100,000 in cash from Choppies.

Indeed we thank Master Dee the producer for giving our children the opportunity to showcase their talent and earn from it. We also thank Choppies, a local entity for coming on board and sponsoring the winner with P100,000 cash. Other winners, second and third got P30,000  and P20,000 respectively. The government of Botswana has also come on board as a sponsor and partner in the My Star show, by not only popping out P50,000 annually toward the grand finale, but by also rewarding the sparkling top three talent with top notch scholarships. As we speak, the top three winners in the   previous show are enjoying full government scholarships, a commendable initiative indeed.

While the My star show must be encouraged to keep on tapping more talent and grooming it to stardom, the producers of the show also need to be advised on the following; First it has to show in their television production that this music production is evolving with time. The television production quality should not remain static for years without signs of improvement in production quality.
