Motsweding teaches local media a lesson

In addition to the actual event, there have been great lessons that we can draw lessons from. A week prior to the music awards, the South African Radio station, Motsweding FM, broadcast from Gaborone as a build up to this event. This was possibly the first time to hear a foreign radio station broadcasting from our shores. We are aware that in early 2000 Gabz FM and the now defunct Radio Bop collaborated to beam live musical events but never of this magnitude.
While Motsweding FM is a South African radio station, it has a significant listenership in Botswana.
It underscores the indispensable role women play in our society, particularly in building strong households and nurturing families.
