Motiganz prize-giving is a yawn

The Botswana football league, which follows this pattern, has not started. Except for a few people in the football league committee, nobody knows why the league has not commenced and when it will. The little information that filters in to members of the public is that the committee is still negotiating for sponsorship before the league can start.

This is very queer indeed, at a time when the league is to start, the committee is negotiating sponsorship. The league committee knew three years ago that the Mascom sponsorship will come to an end. Proactive administrators would have re-negotiated an improved sponsorship with Mascom or started courting other potential sponsors.
