Molepolole tragedy should never recur

Once again violence and destruction have been visited on our football. Over the weekend, the match between Extension Gunners and Township Rollers witnessed two rounds of violence that could have been avoided with proper planning.

From what happened, it is obvious that somebody somewhere was sleeping on the job.  The sale of tickets was slow and only one of the many gates at the stadium was open for fans to enter the venue.  In a match of this magnitude at the end of the month, it is suicidal to have only one entrance and sell tickets at the pace of a snail.

At this point in our football development, we thought we should be wiser in the way we do certain basic things.  It should be abundantly clear that tickets for matches involving the big names in local football should be sold at a much faster pace while entry into the venue of the duel should not have stifling bottlenecks.
