Let�s sweep HIV from the streets

A recent study of Gaborone and Francistown by the Ministry of Health reveals that certain neglected groups such as prostitutes, and people in same sex relationships, are highly affected by HIV/ AIDS and that something needs to be done as a matter of urgency to address the situation.

According to the study, 62% of the prostitutes were found to be living with HIV. This is indeed a very urgent matter that needs to be nipped in the bud.

As a result of this scenario a draft strategy document has been drawn up by NACA in collaboration with the Police, the Immigration department as well as the Ministry of Health.
