Let Motswaledi rest in dignity

This morning thousands of mourners from around the country and beyond are gathered in Serowe to lay to rest BMD president and UDC Secretary General Gomolemo Motswaledi. Elsewhere in this edition, we discuss Motswaledi’s love for peace.

Motswaledi believed in law and order. He believed in a better, peaceful, prosperous, just and secure Botswana. Initial reports are to the effect that he died in a road accident near Pitsane village.

There is suspicion surrounding his death. Both the Botswana Police and UDC are telling us they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the road mishap.  Needless to say, the fact that the investigation has gone on well into the day of his burial has not helped allay fears there may have been foul play.

BDP primaries leave a lot to be desired

The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case.
