The story follows a press statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcing that President Ian Khama has invited the perceived winner Ivory Coast presidential elections, Alassante Ouattara for a state visit.  The statement said that Khama and Ouattara in a conversation (probably telephonic) agreed to strengthen cooperation between Botswana and Ivory Coast.

If you came from another planet and you only relied on Khama's statement, you would think that Ouattara was the leader of a peaceful country named Ivory Coast.  You would not be able to tell whether there was any crisis in the Ivory Coast at all.  However the truth, unacceptable to all supporters of democracy is that, currently, the President of Ivory Coast is Laurent Gbagbo.
