While the number of people who test positive for COVID-19 over the last few months has been going considerably on a downward trend, the cases have started to increase again.

The latest report released by government shows that statistics from May 29 to June 1 indicate the number of active cases during that period to be at 2,843, while new cases for the period mentioned stood at 1,627 and three deaths.

These numbers are a serious concern because many people after seeing cases drop, became relaxed and were no longer adhering to the set guidelines. Some businesses have stopped sanitising their customers as they enter their business premises.
