The report only confirms what the public has known for many years now. Drug shortages are common problems at most of our public health centres and many people now resort to pharmacies to buy drugs.
According to a Daily News report, essential drugs such as BCG, which is used to prevent tuberculosis, and other drugs that are used to prevent hepatitis, diphtheria, tetanus, polio and measles are some that are missing from the dispensary counters of our clinics.
