Africa fails Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwean crisis unfolds, or remains stuck in a permanent state of stasis. This is not a surprise as such, given what type of noises were coming out of the country in the build-up to the elections.

The threats and counter-threats coming from Zimbabwe gave all voters a good picture of what was expected of them, which was obviously to vote for  ZANU-PF. Military leaders came out and showed which side they stood in the patently partisan way.

President Robert Mugabe made sure he announced his intentions were he to lose. Mugabe left it in no doubt that he would not accept any loss.
