Turnstar mulls establishing land bank

Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) listed property company, Turnstar Holdings, is considering establishing a land bank to expand its P1.2 billion portfolio.

Turnstar asset manager, Bonolo Moagi told Mmegi Business that property investors face the challenge of lack of land.

She said acquiring a land bank will also give them a competitive advantage in the property market. "We are looking for reasonably priced land in Gaborone, Francistown, Maun and Kasane, but this will depend on the value and market. We plan to have a piece of land so that when we find the market opportunity we will not spend time looking for land to buy," said Moagi.
