Tough New Year decisions await RDC Properties

Developers of the Masa Centre, RDC Properties, will have to reshape the future of Holiday Inn Gaborone early next year following the withdrawal of African Sun Limited that was due to manage the landmark.

Since 2009, the property group has been developing the P248 million Masa Centre that houses Holiday Inn as the flagship tenant together with the country's first 3D movie house, five movie theatres, offices, restaurants and retail outlets.

Following several construction delays and on the cusp of its grand launch, RDC Properties will now have to finalise a new management contract for Holiday Inn Gaborone while inheriting debts arising from the termination of the African Sun Limited contract.
