Swedish delegation strikes deals with local businesses

It was a mission accomplished for a Swedish business delegation, which visited the country this week after members struck deals with Batswana entrepreneurs


. “It is not easy to get small business people together and strike deals. But we have managed to sign five contracts. It (visit) was successful,” said the chief executive officer of the Swedish Trade Chamber, Charlotte Kalin on the sidelines of a business seminar held at a leading Gaborone hotel. Besides Botswana, the Swedish delegation, which was hosted by the Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM), visited South Africa and is headed for Zambia.  The delegation was composed of 15 businesspeople with interests ranging from ICT, waste management and agriculture.
