StandardChartered appoints new CEO

The Standard Chartered Bank of Botswana has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer to replace Nigel Jones.

He spent the last six years in Africa where he is credited with successfully growing the banks business in Nigeria and Uganda. Cutting is well traveled, having also worked in North America, Egypt, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
His experience covers retail banking, operations, credit relationship management and country management.

The statement notes that the new CEO and his management team are committed to the continuous improvement of the banks processes to achieve greater efficiencies, the development of the banks talent in order to create future leaders, and to making sure that Standard Chartered Bank Botswana remains an exemplary corporate citizen. Cutting is married with three children.
Meanwhile, Nigel Jones left Botswana after working for the bank for four years. He is due to head Standard Chartered Bank Dubai.
