S/Phikwe Co-op retrenches

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Following an audit that unveiled serious indebtedness last year, the Selebi-Phikwe Consumers' Co-operative Society has started retrenching employees.

The Chairperson of the Management Committee, Tebogo Venson, told Mmegi Business over the weekend that 43 employees were serving notice and that only seven would remain to run the now streamlined business.

Venson explained that remaining with skeletal staff was in accordance with the instructions from the Commissioner of Co-operative Development.
