SPEDU secures funding to review development plan

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Government has approved funding amounting to P2.5 million for the review of Selebi-Phikwe Development Plan 2000-2024, the Mayor, Godfrey Mbaiwa, has announced.

Addressing a full council meeting here last Wednesday, the Mayor said the money is mainly to pay a competent consultant who has already been engaged and is due to complete the 40- week assignment on Tuesday next week.

The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning is channelling the money, which is drawn from the Re-Employment Account, through Selebi-Phikwe Diversification Unit (SPEDU).
