Slow start to Global Expo 2007

Day one of the Global Expo 2007 took off at a snail's pace as gates opened on Wednesday.

There was not much to show that business had begun at an event meant to bring together business people.

Boipuso Hall, the main exhibition centre, was virtually unoccupied. But the organisers were in an upbeat mood, saying they expected activity to pick up during the course of the week, particularly on Saturday, which will be an open day admitting members of the public. Coordinators were still erecting banners around the place on the first day.
