SELEBI PHIKWE: Selebi Phikwe Town Council (SPTC) has signed a contract with consultants, Mosienyana and Partners International, for the review of the Selebi Phikwe development plan of 2011-2035.

The signing ceremony was held on Wednesday at the council chambers. The town's mayor, Godfrey Mbaiwa said there have been some delays in the review of the plan.

He explained that the review of the 24-year plan is supposed to be done every five years. He said that the plan would determine the growth of the town away from mining. Mbaiwa noted that the P640 million funding from the European Union (EU) through the Sysmin Re-Employment Account would go a long way in assisting the future of the town.
