Private Sector Vital To Sustainable Development - PS

The Deputy Permanent Secretary for Trade, Boniface Mphetlhe has conceded that the government continues to re-energise its support for private sector involvement in sustainable national development processes.

Speaking at the two-day Association of Business Consultants of Botswana (ABCB) Strategic Planning workshop held last week Mphetlhe urged the private sector to take centre stage in the development of skills for business.

"The Ministry of Trade and Industry will continue to support activities aimed at boosting the capacity of the private sector organisations to enable them to drive the economic development of Botswana," he said. "Government considers the private sector as (an) engine of growth. ABCB has the interest of investors at heart."
