Private sector must lead in employment creation - Matambo

The private sector should do more to develop the economy of this country, says the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Kenneth Matambo.

Speaking at the official opening of the new head office of international accounting and auditing firm Deloitte Botswana at Fairground Office Park in Gaborone last Thursday, Matambo encouraged "all those in the private sector to take note of how hard work and determination can bring success".

Matambo said if more companies emulated Deloitte's model for business development in Botswana, "a prosperous, productive and innovative nation," which is one of the objectives of Vision 2016, would become a reality.
