PPADB tightens screws on government tendering

The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) has stated that going forward it will prefer an open tender system as it promotes competition amongst contractors.

Bridget Poppy John, Executive Chairperson of PPADB said at the launch of their new strategy that they want to limit selective or direct appointment of contractors by ministries.

“Instead we want to use open tender more often as it gives value for money and brings out the best from contractors,” John said.
