PPADB raise procurement thresholds

The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) has announced new financial ceilings for micro procurement and requests for quotations.

According to a statement from the PPADB, the new thresholds took effect at the beginning of May. The financial threshold for requests for quotations has been raised to P150,000, from the previous threshold of below P100,000, while micro procurements have gone up from P20,000 to P30,000.

The PPADB raised these thresholds because they have remained constant over the years despite increases in the price of goods and services, according to a press statement from PPADB. The last review of financial ceilings for micro procurements was done in 2006, while thresholds for request for quotations were last reviewed in 2003.
