PPADB activates delisting committee

*Two 'candidates' up for assessment
*Citizen contractors want reservation
The suspension and delisting committee of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) has swung into action, with two cases already facing the possibility of exclusion from the government's multi-billion pula procurement pie this year.

Approximately 60 percent of the national budget is targeted at procurement annually, translating to about P24.7 billion this year.

On Monday, a senior PPADB official said the committee - about whose establishment contractors were warned last year - had come into existence. The committee is an organ of the board, the organisation's highest decision-making authority.
