Positive Reinforcement

Simple, unadulterated compliments and words that recognize and reward effort like, 'well done' or 'good job', 'thank you', or even 'I'm happy with what you've done', and 'you're a valuable team member' are hard to come by.

It appears that compliments and positive reinforcement are such difficult concepts to apply that there are some supervisors, who have oriented their teams to accept that, 'if I don't say anything, it means everything is fine'.
