Poor packaging cripples resurgent local manufacturers

FRANCISTOWN: While local products increasingly fill many a store shelf, they still struggle to penetrate the market.

Minister of Trade and Industry Dorcas Makgatho-Malesu has put the blame on their packaging, which she said is not up to scratch.

She however said that they are working closely with local entrepreneurs, both large and small scale, to improve their packaging and develop their brands so that their products can appeal to consumers.
