Values for pension fund assets held by domestic and foreign equities rose by 14.7 percent and 10.7 percent respectively to P6.12 billion and P17.9 billion, reflecting both higher injections of funds by managers and better returns on investments.

According to the Bank of Botswana's Annual Report 2010 that was released yesterday, higher values were also recorded for offshore cash holdings and investments in local property. Reductions were seen in the value of domestic and offshore bonds as well as pula-denominated cash holdings.
