'Open Season' jamboree for Kasane this time around

The Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana (Hatab) is looking ahead to the annual Open Season Conference that marks the official tourism period in Botswana.

This year's marker will be held on April 20 at the Chobe Marina Lodge and April 21 at the Mowana Safari Lodge in Kasane. Dignitaries will include the Minister of the Environment, Wildlife and Tourism Kitso Mokaila, and Debswana Managing Director Blackie Marole, who will be the guest of honour.
Hatab spokesman Benson Phuthego said in a statement that the conference gives stakeholders the opportunity to engage one another on the vast potentialities of the tourism sector that are yet to be exploited.
"As an annual event, the Hatab Open Season ensures that the organisation continues to execute its principal mandate of promoting and encouraging excellence in the hospitality and tourism operations in Botswana," Phuthego says.
