Stones from Botswana were amongst jewellery worn by celebrities that dazzled crowds at last week’s Academy Awards, as natural diamonds once again proved their incomparable status as the ultimate expression of timeless value and beauty.

Several celebrities wore the Desert Diamonds “beacon” of jewellery collection launched by De Beers. A beacon is a jewellery concept that enables various industry players to participate in a category marketing initiative.

Desert Diamond was De Beers first beacon in more than a decade and represents a return to strong industry-wide marketing.
