Namibia Breweries launch Vigo

Speaking at the launch, NBL country manager, Nico Vos said that as a reputable world-class brewer, they saw the opportunity to offer Botswana consumers a refreshing alternative in the soft drinks category. He said that their aim in launching Vigo is to provide mature customers with an alternative to mainstream and everyday soft drinks. Vos said that in addition to their beer portfolio, NBL in Botswana decided to expand their scope and venture into bringing Vigo to diversify the market.
He said the success of NBL’s Windhoek Lager and Windhoek Draught brands locally helped guide them in establishing a strong market presence. Through the brands, the company has built and managed close relations with consumers. Vos said they were influenced to register a local entity to drive their market base market while taking and assuming ownership of it.
