MultiChoice Tightens Grip Thanks To Olympics, BB3

Continental pay television company, MultiChoice, says it is tightening its grip on the domestic market thanks to big international sporting events and reality television shows.

MultiChoice Botswana General Manager Billy Sekgororwane told Monitor Business that successive exclusive televising of events such as the Euro 2008, and the Olympics has seen them increasing subscriber base.

"Like all sporting events, we have a bit of an upsurge in the number of subscribers, though it is not as big as one would have expected", said Sekgororoane who was briefly with GTV.
