Multi-tasking won't do - BOCCIM tells secretaries

Secretaries have been reminded that they act as sources of information and points of reference for workers in their organisations.

And a good secretary should know what is going on and handle routine questions that increase her bosses' accessibility.
These tips were offered by the Executive Director of Tebelopele, Bangwato Sikwa, at the 23rd BOCCIM Secretaries Convention at the Gaborone Sun yesterday in a presentation on effective communication in the workplace.

"Make eye contact when speaking or listening and make sure that your vocal tone and inflexion matches the words you are expressing," Sikwa said.
