Monchusi is new BOCCIM President

Alex Letlhogonolo Monchusi is the new President of the Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) after beating former Barclays Botswana CEO, Thuli Johnson.

One hundred-and-twenty-seven affiliates voted for Monchusi against Johnson's 71 in a vote held during the organisation's Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Boipuso Hall in Gaborone yesterday.

Monchusi, whose term will end in 2013, has served on the BOCCIM National Executive Council (NEC) for the past seven years as a chairman of its engineering sector.  He takes over from Modiri Mbaakanyi who has been BOCCIM president for the past four years.
