Mmegi Staff Writer WANETSHA MOSINYI recently toured the area, which has the potential to rival Zambia's Copperbelt

Separated  only by the Kuke cordon fence, the exploration camp of Canadian junior explorer Hana Mining is a stone's throw away from Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) Tsau gate whilst Discovery Metals' camp is a mere 30km from Maun.

The two companies whose projects lie on the Kalahari copperbelt, which was previously prospected by giants like Anglo America Corporation (AAC) and De Beers, will from 2011 completely transform the area from a cattle ranching to a copper mining zone when as yellow monsters (mining caterpillars) move in for mining.
