Botswana exported textiles worth US$4.03 million (P34.3 million) between January and August this year under the United States African Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA), representing a 52% drop on the corresponding period last year.

According to figures from the US Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA), Botswana textile exports between January and August slowed significantly from last year’s US$8.4 million (P71.4 million) recorded over the same period.
