Lobatse Leather Park behind schedule

The Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Vincent Seretse this week told Parliament that the much-anticipated leather park for Lobatse is running behind schedule.

This is due to preliminary preparations for the project, Seretse said when responding to a parliamentary question. According to the minister, work on the project was initially planned to commence this April and completed on September 2017.

However, preliminary preparations such as procurement of the Technical Advisor and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) delayed the project, Seretse said.
