Letshego to list new shares today

Microlender, Letshego Holdings Limited, will today list an additional 128 million shares on the Botswana Stock Exchange following its 13thebe per share scrip dividend.

The company, which announced its results last week, decided to pay dividends to shareholders in the form of shares so as to preserve cash.

It says in a statement: "Shareholders have approved a non-elective scrip dividend of 13.6thebe per share in lieu of cash. Approximately 128,899,607 new ordinary shares will be issued to all shareholders in proportion to their existing shareholding.
