LEA boss explains mentorship programme

FRANCISTOWN: The acting manager for the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) Francistown branch Kabelo Nkwane has said they only 'divorce' their clients when they develop into large enterprises capable of sustaining themselves.

He told a Ministry of Trade and Industry dialogue workshop with journalists over the weekend that LEA's mandate is to help small business owners with pre-start and post-start services.

"With the pre-start programme, we basically interview and screen the entrepreneur to ensure the suitability for business training. This training will show if one has entrepreneurial qualities that may be enhanced," said Nkwane.
