Landfill for Greater Gaborone being built at Gamodubu

Construction of the multi-million pula regional landfill to serve Greater Gaborone and parts of Kweneng is scheduled for completion early next year, government officials have confirmed.

The landfill is being built at Gamodubu, a hamlet that lies between Molepolole and Gaborone.

The Director of Waste Management and Pollution Control at the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Enoch Naane, says Gaborone, the Tlokweng Sub-District, and Molepolole and its satellite villages, will all use the landfill.
