He acknowledged the difficult position that BoB and other central banks face in trying to balance economic growth and inflation.

"No country in the world is happy with inflation right now and to make it worse, every economy is slowing down.  Most central banks are beating themselves up because it is a difficult balance to achieve," Kevin Lings, chief economist at Stanlib said recently.
