Inflation edges northwards

Consumer inflation edged up to 4.6 percent year-on-year in August from 4.5 percent in July.

This means general prices increased by an average 4.6 percent in the 12 months to August 2014.

According to figures released by Statistics Botswana this week, the annual inflation in August 2014 was lower than the 5.6 percent recorded during the same month in 2013.
