Inflation eases to 6%, lowest since 2001

Botswana's year-on-year inflation hit its lowest mark since 2001 in July, falling by a further 1.0 percentage point to end at 6 percent from 7 percent in June.

According to a Central Statistics Office (CSO) report released on Tuesday, this fall was due to continuing easing of inflation in food and fuel prices which are not as pronounced as they were this time last year.
