*Botswana inflation rises to 20-month high in January
Inflation is back in Africa, but for now it's rising rather than surging.

For much of last year, bumper domestic harvests meant stable food prices on the poorest continent, sheltering its economies from the sharp increases that have gripped other emerging regions and led to interest rate hikes from Beijing to Bangkok.

Tiny, landlocked Rwanda even saw falling prices due to sharp drops in the price of bread, cereals and vegetables, which between them make up 36 percent of its inflation basket.
