I can't recall it verbatim, but it went something like 'true leadership is not the absence of weakness'. The writer was talking about the way we tend to expect our leaders to be perfect paragons of virtue who make no mistake but somehow manage to live up to everybody's expectations. According to the writer of that article, we should learn to focus on issues of material significance, on set goals and agreed priorities; and really just measure the performance, or excellence if you prefer, of our leaders against those empirical indicators. So in other words, let's not be petty and subjective.
It underscores the indispensable role women play in our society, particularly in building strong households and nurturing families.
