Imara agrees deal for Nigeria access

Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) asset management group Imara Holdings and African Investment Bank said on Monday they had formed an alliance with Nigerian financial services firm Chapel Hill Denham to give it a foothold in Africa's most populous nation.

Imara Chief Executive Mark Tunmer said his company had agreed to a cooperation deal under which the two firms will sell each other's services and that Imara may later take an equity stake in Chapel Hill.

"We have signed a memorandum of understanding to formalise the strategic co-operation," Tunmer said. "The agreement opens a West African window for us."
