Travelodge Hotel sales executive, Oarabile Baisi, says hotel accommodation is still expensive in Botswana due to limited facilities, especially in cities.

Addressing the press recently, she said that the hotel and accommodation industry in Botswana is still growing and only a minimum portion of locals book in hotels.

"Our statistics show that tourists dominate hotel usages in Botswana. The demand is high, but it is mainly foreigners who utilise these services. Baisi said locals would rather sleep on a friend's living room floor, than book in a hotel. She said hotels should introduce affordable domestic prices for locals.
