Glen Valley, Dikabeya farms up for privatisation

Private investors will soon lease and operate two of the country's most iconic farms, Glen Valley and Dikabeya, as authorities begin the process of privatising the government owned properties.

While details are still sketchy, it is expected private investors will lease the farms, operating and investing in them, while also training citizens.

The successful bidders will be required to pay for electricity usage, with those at Dikabeya tapping water from Bonwakatlhako Dam, while those at Glen Valley will use a mixture of recycled water and potable supplies from the Water Utilities Corporation.
