Geological Survey signs MoU with Sweden

The Department of Geological Survey (DGS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU), as the two organisations enhance cooperation in sustainable usage of mineral resources.

A statement from the Swedes made available to Mmegi Business yesterday indicated that the MoU is the culmination of several years of collaboration between Botswana and Sweden around the mineral resources sector.

"Both parties have agreed to cooperate in joint geoscientific investigations and capacity building projects related to the sustainable use of mineral resources with the main purpose to enable a two-way flow of knowledge and information," reads the statement.
