FSG bid to enter Ghana hits brick wall

Plans by Botswana's premier funeral services company, FSG, to expand its operations to Ghana have stalled due to lack of a joint-venture partner.

Announcing its results for the half-year ended June 30, 2012, the company has said plans to form a joint venture with Enterprise Life Assurance Company Limited, Ghana's second largest insurance firm have not been fruitful.

"The negotiations with Enterprise Life Assurance Company Limited in Ghana for a joint venture have stalled.However the group shall continue to explore opportunities going forward," says FSG in a statement accompanying its results.
