Forum discusses interaction between public and private sector

FRANCISTOWN: The importance of fostering interaction between the public and private sector on socio-economic issues for the growth of the city was under the spotlight during discussions at the Greater Francistown Stakeholders' Forum (GFSF) held recently.

Delivering the keynote address, Justice Dr Kholisani Solo, a Francistown High Court Judge, called for a paradigm shift in the delivery of services at the local level.

"They (the Forum) are saying there is need to interact with the private sector... in the city planning, development and management of the economy of the Greater Francistown area; that the notion where government went and did it alone should be fine-tuned to be in tandem with the modern times," said Justice Solo.
